PALS Instructor

Course Content

Before attending the discipline-specific classroom portion of an instructor course, all instructor candidates must:

  1. Be accepted by an AHA Training Center before taking the course
  2. Have a current PALS Provider Card • Complete the Online Instructor Essentials Course
  3. Be proficient in all the skills in PALS

In addition, the instructor candidate should:

  1. Be able to manage time, space, materials, and paperwork, in compliance with AHA guidelines
  2. Maintain high standards of ethics and professionalism when teaching AHA courses
